We began as a regular Sunday gathering of ACS Boys staying at Oldham Hall, who had no preferred church in which to worship. The first service was held on 20th May 1956 in a small music room which eventually proved to be too small as more students started to join. The congregation of ACS Boys was officially recognized as a Methodist Church on 26th May 1957 with a registered membership of 12.
We have since grown. In May 2006, BRMC celebrated her 50th Anniversary. Church Membership then was 1,885 as of 31 July 2006. The latest membership number according to the Last Local Conference Report in July 31 2011 is 2,321 members.

The Church Logo

The circle symbolizes a united congregation. Within it lies the structure of the church supported by nine beams, each representing the various committees that make up our Local Church Executive Committee.
The lines also follow the pattern of a pair of clasped hands reaching out to the Lord in prayer.
The cross emerges beyond the circle, signifying that Christ is truly above all.
