WSCS Evening Fellowship
"Dealing with negative emotions"

The 2nd in this new series of talks:
"Women to Women
         ....in the Living Room"

Speaker : Mrs Grace Foo
When : Wed 26 Nov 2008
Time : 08.00pm
Where : 6 Swettenham Road
(Home of Mrs Melina Yong)

Grace is the wife of Rev John Foo, pastor of Agape Methodist Church. They have 4 children aged 4 to 14 years old.

She was with Campus Crusade, working among undergraduates and training fulltime workers. She has preached at the Women’s Prison, prayer and discipleship seminars, and many WSCS-organised events.

Music is her forte and since 1976, she has been serving in the church choir ministry. As a busy mother and wife, she will share how we can deal with emotions as the Bible teaches.

Dealing with negative emotions
  • Every woman would have at each stage of life different emotional feelings of anxiety, anger, worry, bitterness and self-doubt.

  • These emotions sap your energy and undermine your effectiveness. They influence our thoughts, our behaviour and our bodies.

  • They influence our thoughts, our behaviour and our bodies.

  • In such challenging times, do not let your emotions rollercoast but come, hear and be encouraged!

"So give yourself completely to God... Come near to God and God will come near to you…..Humble yourself in the Lord’s Presence and He will honor you."
    James 4: 7- 10

    Church Prayer Service

"These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a House of Prayer for All Nations." - Isaiah 56:7
    Church Prayer Service
    Focus: Witness & Evangelism
    28 November 2008, Friday
    8:00pm at Main Sanctuary

Jesus said in John 4:34-35 that "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!" As we gather to seek the Lord in worship and prayer this month, let us commit ourselves afresh to be His witnesses to those who do not yet know Jesus. Let us pray for the Witness & Evangelism ministry that God will grant them fresh vision and anointing for all their endeavours in the new year ahead.
