RESPONSIBILITIES

    Engagement of new cases

  • Collect, organise, analyse client data
  • Assess client’s strengths and limitations
  • Develop mutually agreed-on intervention goals and objectives
  • Select appropriate intervention strategies

Intervention

  • Initiate actions to achieve client’s goals
  • Help clients resolve problems
  • Negotiate, mediate, and advocate for clients
  • Initiate and plan for opportunities to conduct outreach activities
  • Collaborate with other ministries to reach out to clients
  • Encourage clients participation in the Befrienders’ program
  • Follow up on effectiveness of the Befrienders’ program with feedback from clients and recommend improvements
  • Facilitate transitions and endings

Evaluation

  • Critically analyse, monitor, and evaluate interventions
  • Submit reports with recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree/Diploma Social Work or Theological Degree/ Diploma

REQUIREMENTS

    Related Experience

    • Area- Pastoral Care
    • Years of Experience- 2 years of direct casework management

    Required Skill set:

    • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
    • An innovative team player, self-motivated, pro-active
