CHURCH SCHOOL

Building up. Reaching out.

The Sunday School Ministry provides Bible-based teaching and ministry to children and youth in the context of contemporary times and challenges. It is a dynamic and exciting destination of choice for children and youth to meet, interact and form Godly relationships with peers and mentors.

We are actively involved in initiating children and youth into the Kingdom of God via salvation through Jesus Christ (Col 1:13-14). This takes place as leaders, teachers and mentors “train a child (youth) in the way he should go (Prov 22:6)” - obeying Jesus’ charge in the Great Commission, and in turn preparing future generations to do the same in their time.

It is our hope that Sunday School ministry workers will desire to be grounded in the Word and filled with the Holy Spirit, living an evangelistic lifestyle and serving in the love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit (1 Pet 3:15-16).

COVID-19 Updates from Church School

In line with the latest MOH guidelines and precautionary measures, BRMC will be suspending all Church School classes and activities on Sundays with immediate effect (Sun, Mar 15, 2020).

Youth Ministry
Please note that Friday night youth cell group meetings will continue digitally only, no physical meetings. Cell leaders will meet their cell groups over video conference calls.

All Youths can either attend our ongoing weekend services or catch the online stream of our 8.30am Sunday Sanctuary service (via www.brmc.org.sg) during this period.

Children’s Ministry
The Sunday before Easter is Palm Sunday—the day Jesus entered Jerusalem as the King of kings the week of Passover. As you prepare for and celebrate Easter at home, we are making available some Children’s Ministry materials to assist you in helping your kids connect the dots between God’s promises of a Messiah and Jesus’ coming. Help them understand why Jesus came: to save the world from sin!

Toddlers and Pre-Primary
There will be no special video for toddlers this week! Click HERE for the special lesson to help teach your 4-6 year olds to understand the meaning of Palm Sunday.

Lower and Upper Primary
With special permission from LifeWay Christian Resources, we will upload guided Bible lesson materials weekly, extracted from Gospel Project for Kids curriculum, currently used by our Church School.

To facilitate each weekly lesson with your children, you are recommended to use the materials in the following order:

  1. Teach the Bible Story Guide
  2. Bible Story video (this video is also suitable as a devotional material for K2 children)
  3. Apply the Bible Story  Guide
  4. The Gospel – God’s Plan For Us – refer to both “Teach and Apply the Bible Story Guides” for more information
  5. And all other additional videos and materials as mentioned in the Teach and Apply Guides.
