SUMMARY:Ordinary Time after Pentecost
DESCRIPTION:WHAT IS IT?\nOrdinary Time refers to the time between the two cycles of Advent-Christmas-Epiphany and Lent-Easter-Pentecost. They are marked as “After Epiphany” and “After Pentecost” respectively. \nWHY DO WE CELEBRATE IT?\nOrdinary Time itself has no central theme\, but Scripture readings during After Pentecost often emphasise the Kingdom of God and the reign of Jesus\, through the work of his body\, the Church. We learn that the ministry of Jesus to the world continues through us\, and we minister out of the blessed hope we have of his glorious return. \nNOTHING ORDINARY ABOUT ORDINARY TIME\n“Ordinary” comes from the word “ordinal”\, referring to how the weeks are counted in order (e.g.\, 1st Sunday After Pentecost\, 2nd Sunday After Pentecost\, and so on). \nWHAT DO WE DO?\nWorship during this time generally adopts themes more related to the sermon series than the season itself. The season is punctuated by special holy days\, the source of the word “holiday”. \nGreen is used to signify growth and life. \nSpecial Days are observed\, including TRAC Conference Sunday. \nBOOKENDING THE ORDINARY\nThe first Sunday of After Pentecost is Trinity Sunday\, focusing on the doctrine of the Holy Trinity\, a crucial underlying statement of faith for all Christians. The last Sunday of After Pentecost is Christ the King Sunday\, focusing on how Christ reigns over all Creation as King\, and that this king will one day come back in glory – leading us back into the Advent anticipation. \nREFERENCES \nSenn\, Frank C. DESCRIPTION:Join us for weekly pickleball sessions designed to promote intergenerational bonding and an active\, healthy lifestyle within the BRMC family! \nWhether you’re a seasoned player or a complete beginner\, everyone is welcome—children\, youth\, adults\, and seniors alike. We’ll teach newcomers the game\, and equipment (paddles\, balls\, and nets) will be provided. Come enjoy this fun\, easy-to-learn sport that blends tennis\, badminton\, and ping pong! \n🧒 Free for children 12 & under and seniors 55 & over💵 $4 per session for all others (payable via QR code at the entrance)👟 Sports attire with non-marking court shoes required🚫 No food in the auditorium. Bring your own water/drinks. \nNote: These sessions will replace the Thursday Seniors’ Pickleball group from May onwards.Participation is only open to BRMC members. \nVolunteer With Us! \n\n\nLooking for committed volunteers to help set up and return all equipment at the end of each session.  If we can get 12 volunteers\, we will roster 2 volunteers per session.  Commitment will then be once every 6 weeks. \nCommunication\nAll participants will be placed in a BRMC Pickleball WhatsApp group for ease of communication.\n\n\nRegister to indicate your interest

DESCRIPTION:Come join us as BRMC hosts our migrant brothers from Defu Industrial City Dormitory for a special outing to Gardens By The Bay on Sun\, 24 Aug from 2pm – 8.30pm. This will be a wonderful opportunity for us as a community to bless our migrant friends with a memorable outing experience as we show hospitality\, build friendships\, and express Christ’s love through presence and service.
