SUMMARY:Aldersgate SG 2025 Celebration Service
DESCRIPTION:Aldersgate Celebration is a call to worship God together as a Methodist family. This year we will explore what it means to love God through scriptural holiness. Bishop Emeritus Dr Robert Solomon will share with us on The Priesthood of All Believers (Celebration Service) and on Growing Together in Holiness (Lecture). \nDate: Sat\, 24 May 2025\nTime: 5pm to 7pm (Dinner provided after service)\nLocation: Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church (TA2)\, 61 Wishart Rd\, Singapore 098716\nSpeaker: Bishop Emeritus Dr Robert Solomon \nThe apostle Peter reminded his readers that “like living stones” they were “being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood” (1 Pet 2:5). The Protestant concept of the priesthood of all believers has been variously understood. We shall examine the bible passage on the priesthood of believers to discover what it means and what it does not mean. How can this teaching strengthen the way the church functions and encourage each church member to ask what role they play in this priesthood in the light of Scripture and Wesleyan teaching and practice. \nThere is no livestreaming for both the lecture and the Celebration Service; these are on-site only events and we’ll strongly encourage you to attend both sessions. \nRegister for the dinner after Celebration Service \nRegistration ends on 9 May 2025. \nVisit the Aldersgate website for more info \n
