  1. Planning & Organising
      • Assist the Committee or be responsible (whenever called upon) in planning, organising and the smooth running of YAM activities that is aligned to its ministry objectives;
      • Ensure that all such activities are relevant in meeting the needs of YAM in the prevailing environment, such as facilitating the transition from youths to young adults and encouraging the multiplying of young adult small groups;
      • Ensure that all such activities are aligned to the church calendar of events and where there are conflicts, to recommend alternatives to resolve such conflicts;
      • Recommend and implement strategies adopted by the committee to attract, engage, inspire and retain YA participation;
      • To identify and recommend potential leaders;

     2. Spiritual Nurture

      • Train – Organise programs for spiritual formation for YAM leaders; Initiate and organise training programs for potential leaders;
      • Encourage –initiate opportunities to provide support to YAM leaders in their spiritual journey;

     3. To provide spiritual counselling to YAM leaders where needed and to involve Counsellors from Pastoral Care ministry where necessary;

     4. Be present at all YAM activities

      • Liaise between the Ministry Committee and the Pastors’ Office;

  1. Planning & Organising
      • The purpose and Christian ministry objectives and curriculum can be dovetailed with OH programs.
      • Organising activities to reach out to OH pre-believers;
      • Identify, nurture, disciple and equip potential leaders amongst the OH boarders so that they can grow to be disciple-makers amongst their peers.
      • Organising welcome and outreach initiatives for new boarders;
      • Organising farewell activities for boarders who are leaving with strategies for keeping contact and follow up;
      • Explore opportunities to engage alumni for the purposes of continuing the ministry of outreach as well as discipleship;
      • Assist OH boarders who are attending BRMC services to integrate into the BRMC faith community by finding them a suitable small group and/or introducing them to suitable BRMC members and ministries.
      • Identify BRMC ministries, programs and resources that OH ministry could work with
      • To be responsible for the planning and organizing the Befrienders’ program, monitor and evaluate its effectiveness and improve where necessary, coordinate the recruitment and nurturing of a group of BRMC members (from OH Sunday and throughout the year) who will provide hospitality and care to OH boarders through various forms of engagement;
      • Attend and report to the OH Management Committee (OHMC) meetings so that the OHMC may be appraised of Christian ministry initiatives and to obtain the necessary support from OHMC for Christian ministry.

     2. Spiritual Nurture

      • Feed – Lead worship, organise devotions and Bible studies for OH boarders and staff;
      • Train – Spiritual formation for OH staff and volunteer team
      • Protect –Organise prayer groups and fellowship meetings for OH boarders and staff
      • Encourage – Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

     3. Provide spiritual counselling to OH Staff and volunteers where needed and to collaborate with the Counsellors from Pastoral Care ministry where necessary;

     4. To be present at all  OH Christian Ministry activities

5. PASTORAL TEAM STAFF (W&M – Traditional)

The Worship Services wing of the Worship & Music Ministry (W&M) seeks to shepherd people in authentic worship through the experience of music and to assist in the creative attempts of the church to present the gospel in the worship services of BRMC.

The PTS (W&M – Traditional Services) represents the W&M pastor at the traditional services of BRMC, currently the Sat 5pm and Sun 8.30am Sanctuary services.

* * R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S * *

  1. Service Managment
      • Serve as the primary service manager of the traditional services at Sat 5pm and Sun 8.30am.
      • Plans the weekly order of service in consultation with the W&M Pastor, including selection of hymns, prayers, and crafting liturgy.
      • Consolidate and report debrief points from each weekend’s traditional services for weekly service team meetings
      • Coordinate between the various teams involved in the conduct of the worship services, including the pastors, sound crew, livestream crew, ushers, and any other such teams.
      • Lead and roster a team of volunteer service managers for the traditional services.
      • Participate in all operations and creative meetings. This includes assisting in overall programming and execution of liturgical and creative elements in the worship experience (props, songs, video elements, etc).

     2. Equipping & Developing

      • Support and advise the W&M Committee in their function of recruitment, training and developing volunteers who will serve in the various teams involved in the conduct of the worship services.
      • With the W&M Committee, develop the liturgical depth of the church through thoughtfully ordering the services and educating the congregation.
      • Stay current with contemporary culture as it relates to design and style in both our church and the general market.
      • Communicate with the pastors and W&M staff, and learn from services outside BRMC, to gain insight and develop ways to improve the effectiveness of the worship experience.

     3. General PTS Duties

      • Support the pastors’ office in ad-hoc activities including special services, baptism interviews, and staff devotions
      • Any other duties assigned by the Pastor-in-Charge

6. TEMPORARY CONTRACT STAFF (AV)
Will be located at Barker Road.

  1. Operations
      • Oversee the operation of technical equipment for all worship services and events designated by the supervisor, including instruments, AV equipment, cameras, and lighting.
      • Ensure that sound checks and tech runs are performed adequately for all worship services.
      • Ensure smooth playback of media for worship services, including the livestream.

     2. Training / Volunteer Management

      • To train and direct volunteers to operate technical equipment used for sound, visuals, and livestream at worship services and events.
      • Train and direct Worship Leaders, Singers, Choir, Musicians and other volunteers and staff in the handling and use of the technical equipment for the playback of media.

     3. Maintenance

      • Manage and maintain the inventory of technical equipment, musical instruments and other relevant equipment.
      • Anticipate and correct problems that may affect the worship experience at worship services and events designated by the supervisor.

Covers the premises of BRMC, BRMCLL (Barker and Vanda locations), and Oasis on the following job functions:

Facilities Management

  1. Weekly walkabout the premises to ensure the cleanliness & orderliness of the premises. Raise any areas of repairs to the Head Operations and Property Manager.
  2. Assist Property Manager with managing contractors for the repairs & maintenance of the premises.
  3. Repair and Maintenance of all office equipment to ensure good working condition. 
    • obtain best possible quotes for equipment repairs
    • send equipment to supplier for repairs when necessary / assigned
    • order and replenish consumables for the following machines (but not limited to)
    • Fuji Xerox – Photo Copy Machines
    • Folding Machine
    • Shredder
    • Fax machine
    • Risograph
    • Franking Machine
    • Water dispensers
    • Others
  4. Liaise with Church facilities and general workers on equipment and facilities required for church activities.
  5. Ensure cleanliness of the church venues, office and pantry by managing the cleaning contractor.

Facilities and Equipment Bookings

  1.  Issue Equipment and allocate rooms for church activities.
  2. Coordinate and liase with MCS, ACS and Oldham Hall for booking of their facilities for church use.
  3. Weekly updates of bookings of premises using church calendar (PCO).

Inventory

  1. Maintain register of church equipment, including those of other ministries.
  2. Tag church equipment, together with Finance Dept.
  3. Annual stock takes with finance department of church equipment.
  4. Monitor movement of church equipment.

Purchasing and Related Errands

  1. Monitor and replenish church & office cleaning agents, refreshment & supplies for Sunday services, office pantries and other activities.
  2. Assist in obtaining quotations for purchase of equipment or supplies.
  3. Run errands for office.
    • Collects Christian materials when assigned
    • Purchase office supplies when assigned
    • Send receptionist to Post Office for franking machine top up and bulk mails

Church Calendar

  1. Manage and process requests for church activities into church calendar, as approved by Head Operations.
  2. Deconflict and liase with Pastors, Ministries Chairpersons and PTS on clash of major church activities.
  3. Assist Head Operations in drafting of Annual Church Calendar.

General

Any other duties as may be assigned by PIC, Head Operations and/or Principals of BRMCLL.
