2026 Easter Letter from the Pastor-in-Charge

Dear BRMC Church Family,

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. -1 Peter 1:3-5

These words from the Apostle Peter remind us that Easter is not simply a memory of something that happened long ago. He wrote these words to fellow believers who were experiencing deep uncertainty, hardship and suffering. The disciples were confused, fearful and unsure about what the future would hold. Yet Peter pointed them to the truth that the resurrection changes everything. Because it was precisely in that moment that the good news broke through: the tomb was empty, and hope was alive.

Our hope does not depend on circumstances that change, but on Christ who lives.

Today, many of us feel the similar uncertainty in our world, our communities, and even in our personal lives. As the conflict in the Middle-East continues, causing major waves of political, economic and societal disruption, the path ahead can feel unclear. But Easter reminds us that God’s greatest work often begins in moments that look the darkest. The resurrection declares that despair does not have the final word, fear does not win, and death itself is not the end.

Because Christ is risen, hope is not fragile — it is alive.

This Easter, I encourage you to hold tightly to that living hope. Let it shape how you face each day. When anxiety rises, remember that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is still at work in the world today. When the future feels uncertain, remember that God is already present in the days ahead.

I have seen this living hope sustain many BRMC members over the years. We’ve been blessed by testimony upon testimony of His resurrection power shaping the events of our lives. My own faith has been strengthened by accounts of how God’s concern for the little details of our lives extends to even controlling the weather for a major event or a little girl’s birthday party!

My spirit was “strangely warmed” to see many BRMC family come forward for healing and anointing prayers over the last three weekends. A number received physical healing. One lovely sister-in-Christ informed us that the constant pain caused by fibromyalgia lifted off her. Her testimony will be shared on our website soon. I praise God for these testimonies of His living presence with each one of us while I also continue to pray for Christ’s strength, hope and assurance of His grace for those who have not received immediate healing for our various conditions.

Pastors Kai Ming, Gilbert, Joshua, the BRMC staff team and leaders join me in petitioning the risen Christ to fill your hearts with peace, strengthen your faith and renew your hope. May BRMC continue to be a place where the love and resurrection power of God is seen, shared and experienced by all.

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
