Over the past weekend, staff and laity of Barker Road Methodist Church (BRMC) bid farewell to Pastor-in-Charge (PIC) Rev Dr Wendy Watson who begins a six-month sabbatical on 1 July 2026 before her next posting.

Stepping up as interim PIC in January 2021 and PIC seven months later during the height of Covid-19, Ps Wendy faithfully led the church through the pandemic, fostering deeper unity and fellowship.

She was a faithful shepherd on the hill over the past 11 years, modelling servant-leadership, healing hearts, championing staff welfare and sharing God’s love with deep sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

We thank Ps Wendy for her dedicated service and wish her all the best in this season of rest and renewal.

During this period, Rev Lai Kai Ming will serve as interim PIC.
