For international students living away from home, adjusting to life in Singapore can be challenging. Sometimes, something as simple as being invited out for a meal can make all the difference.

As part of BRMC’s Year of Release, Penguins Connect Group (CG) chose to serve at ACS Oldham Hall, a boarding house for international students. With children of their own, Penguins CG members saw this as a chance to serve alongside their families while getting to know students from different backgrounds.

Hear how Penguins CG’s journey unfolded, and why a simple act of hospitality meant so much to a student far from home.

The Year of Release (2025–2026) is a culture-shifting movement that invites every BRMC member to take the next step in discipleship: journey with a Connect Group, serve together in works of mercy, and proclaim Christ’s love to those around us.
